Covid 19 Vaccine Programme

Covid -19 Vaccination Programme.

Updated April 2022:

Message to our patients – update on the COVID-19 booster programme:

Across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough the NHS and its partners are working extremely hard to roll out the COVID-19 booster vaccination programme to our communities.

Spring Booster Covid-19 Vaccinations:

The NHS is currently running the spring booster vaccination programme. Patients who are eligible for the spring booster are as follows:

  • People aged 75 years and older
  • Residents in care homes for older people
  • Those with weakened immune systems (Patients with immunosuppression as defined in the green book)

People are advised to wait 6 months since their previous dose to get maximum protection from a spring booster. You'll usually be contacted by the NHS, inviting you to book when it's due.

The appointment dates you'll be offered start from 3 months (91 days) after your previous dose, but booking an appointment around 6 months after your previous dose is preferable.
