Message to our patients – update on the COVID-19 booster programme:

Spring Booster Covid-19 Vaccinations:

The NHS is currently running the spring booster vaccination programme. Patients who are eligible for the spring booster are as follows:

  • People aged 75 years and older
  • Residents in care homes for older people
  • Those with weakened immune systems (Patients with immunosuppression as defined in the green book)

People are advised to wait 6 months since their previous dose to get maximum protection from a spring booster. You'll usually be contacted by the NHS, inviting you to book when it's due.

The appointment dates you'll be offered start from 3 months (91 days) after your previous dose, but booking an appointment around 6 months after your previous dose is preferable.

Walk-in vaccination clinics: 

If you are still needing to have your first, second or booster vaccination you can also obtain these through the many walk-in vaccinations clinics around Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Please click on the link for more information: Information regarding Walk in Clinics

 

Overseas Vaccination Records: 

Patient who have been given vaccination(s) overseas, and have received one of the 4 x MHRA approved vaccines, these can now be added to NHS Vaccination records via the overseas vaccination validation service, which is now live on The National Booking Service.

Patient can now book into the National Booking Service to have their Records updated. Patients need to take ID and their vaccination evidence.

You can use this service if you:

  • Are aged 18 years old or over
  • Have an NHS number
  • Have received one of these MHRA-approved vaccines outside of England - Oxford/AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Pfizer/BioNTech (Comirnaty), Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) or Moderna (Spikevax)
