Do you need vaccinations?

Newnham Walk Surgery no longer offers travel advice appointments. We are only able to offer appointments for the administration of those travel vaccines available on the NHS which include Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio and MMR.

NHS Cholera is individually risk assessed as per NHS guidance, please discuss at appointment if required.

If your required vaccinations are not on this list a Private Travel Clinic (Payment is required) can arrange those for you.

Making an appointment for NHS Vaccines

Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio and MMR

Try to make an appointment at least 8 weeks before you travel if possible. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks. All Malaria advice and medication MUST also be sourced from private travel clinics.

If you wish to see a nurse for administration of any for any of the above NHS vaccines then please make a DOUBLE appointment where this will be discussed and administered. Depending on the time needed to check you medical records and discuss the vaccines it may be necessary to ask you to return for a second appointment.

Please bring all previous vaccine records that you may have to this appointment.
